Specialty Products

Dry ice must be handled with care. It operates at -78.5°C and should never be touched with bare skin, as it can cause frostbite. Always use insulated gloves when handling dry ice. It should also be stored in a well-ventilated area as it releases carbon dioxide gas as it sublimates. We provide full handling and safety guidelines with every dry ice order.

Dry ice is widely used for cold chain logistics and temperature-sensitive cargo transport, medical and pharmaceutical cold supply chains, special effects at events (fog effect), food and beverage shipping, and laboratory and scientific cooling applications. Unlike regular ice, dry ice leaves no liquid residue as it sublimates directly from solid to gas.

Liquid nitrogen at -196°C is used for rapid food freezing and food processing, molecular gastronomy (creating dramatic presentation effects in fine dining), cryogenic preservation, industrial and laboratory freezing applications, and medical procedures. It must be handled by trained personnel only. We supply full safety documentation with every liquid nitrogen order.

Yes. Dry ice should be stored in an insulated container (not an airtight sealed container, as pressure build-up can be dangerous) in a ventilated area. Liquid nitrogen must be stored in specialised dewars or cryogenic containers. We advise all customers on appropriate storage requirements and provide documentation with their orders. Please contact us if you have specific storage questions before placing your order.

Yes. Liquid nitrogen is used in restaurants and professional kitchens for molecular gastronomy techniques such as instant freezing of ingredients, making ice cream tableside, and creating dramatic visual effects with fog. It is food-grade when used correctly. However, it must be handled by trained kitchen staff only and must not be consumed directly. Contact us for food-grade liquid nitrogen supply.
